Dear Prayer Partners,

The year 2010 was full of many wonderful ministry moments. Blackaby Ministries appreciates so much your prayers throughout the year. God used BMI all over the world in 2010. The following report from Richard will give you a glimpse of how far your prayers carried us.

“I preached 200 times in 2010 which kept me extremely busy! Some of the highlights were:

  • Spoke to the national gathering of Kingdom Advisors in Atlanta
  • Trained national leaders for Europe for Campus Crusade in training events in Latvia and Estonia
  • Preached revival meetings across South Africa including preaching with Angus Buchan
  • Preached in simultaneous revival meetings in the Chattanooga/Cleveland, TN area with several outstanding speakers
  • Enjoyed providing leadership training to the top leaders for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes
  • Taught with my father in numerous locations including the Canadian Baptist Seminary, Australia, Louisiana, South Georgia, and Virginia
  • Launched our new spiritual leadership conference in North and South Carolina
  • Enjoyed various speaking assignments such as speaking at Southeastern Baptist Seminary and in Geneva, Switzerland
  • Spoke at Billy Graham's Cove several times over the course of the year
  • Had the privilege to minister to military chaplains as well as cadets
  • I continued to be deeply challenged by our ongoing ministry to Christian business leaders.

On a personal level it was a thrill for me to see my son Daniel married to Sarah, and my son Mike ordained and beginning his first ministry job at FBC Jonesboro. What a thrill also to speak in New York City with my dad and my son Mike in an intergenerational conference! I am also pleased that we are about to launch a brand new web site with a new Spiritual Leadership Network that will provide many resources for spiritual leaders including coaching. I am praying that the Lord will use that to bless and encourage many people around the world.

How grateful I am for the faithful prayers of God's people! In travelling I have been aware that my safety is in God's hands. I do appreciate prayers for my family, especially my wife Lisa as she must be alone often while I travel to assignments.

I also appreciate your prayers for BMI's finances. We have had to make some significant cuts this year due to finances, and so we appreciate your prayers that we would have wisdom to invest our limited resources in the places God wants us to.

Please pray for us in 2011. The calendar is already full! One of the hardest things to do is to decline invitations because we cannot say yes to everything. Thank you for walking with us in prayer! I am excited to see where God will take us in 2011!”

Tom Blackaby, Director of BMI International Ministries is currently in Africa learning about southern Sudan. Please join Tom and BMI as we pray for a peaceful referendum vote January 8, 2011 when they hope to be a new country. They will need Christian professionals to help develop their infrastructure and social services. Please pray for us as we seek God’s wisdom and leadership in what our role will be in this process.
