Dr. Richard Blackaby has served as the president of Blackaby Ministries International since July 2006. Richard is the oldest child of Henry and Marilynn Blackaby. He has been married to Lisa since 1983. They have three children: Mike attends Southeastern Baptist Seminary, Daniel is a third year university student at North Greenville University and Carrie is a freshman. They live in Greenville, South Carolina.
Richard earned a Bachelors degree in history from the University of Saskatchewan as well as a Master of Divinity and a Ph.D. in Church History from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was awarded a Doctor of Divinity by Dallas Baptist University. Richard served as senior pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba and then as president of the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary in Cochrane, Alberta for thirteen years.
Richard has co-authored several books with his father Henry including: Experiencing God: Revised Edition, Fresh Encounter: Revised Edition, When God Speaks, Experiencing God Day by Day, The Experience, Spiritual Leadership, Experiencing God: Collegiate Edition, Hearing God’s Voice, Called to Be God’s Leader: Lessons from the Life of Joshua, Reality: 7 Truths from Experiencing God, God In the Marketplace and Discovering God’s Daily Agenda. Richard was the managing editor and contributing author of The Blackaby Study Bible. He also authored Putting a Face on Grace: Living a Life Worth Passing On, Cross Seekers: Discipleship Covenant for a New Generation and Unlimiting God: Increasing Your Capacity to Experience the Divine.
Richard speaks internationally on the Christian life, spiritual leadership and revival.
