Don Gibson is a native Texan who worked in the engineering field for 25 years. In 1982 he followed the Lord’s leading and served as a Mission Service Corp volunteer for Texas Baptist Men. Texas Baptist Men asked him to join their staff in 1987 as Director of Lay Ministries. He served in that capacity until 2002 and is still aligned with them as a consultant.

Don has been affiliated with the Blackaby Ministries International since 2002. His responsibilities include material development, lay leadership training, teaching, and coordination related to Weekend Church Events. Don designed and coordinated the first Experiencing God Weekend in 1991 and has led countless weekends across the United States as well as in Canada and South Africa.

Don and his wife, Lena, reside in the Dallas, Texas area and are members of Prestonwood Baptist Church. Lena volunteers with Blackaby Ministries International and assists Don in planning and coordinating ministry events. They have two daughters and nine grandchildren.
