The world may not be able to understand God’s activity, nor can they comprehend His love. They cannot grasp His plans and His ways, but people often will recognize Christians as being distinct from others. The king did not understand the Lord or His ways, but he was able to see God’s hand on Daniel distinguishing him from the other wise men of his day. Daniel was quick to explain that he did not possess unusual wisdom or extraordinary understanding, but that it was God who provided the answers to the questions of the king. But the king was more interested in God’s servant than his explanations because Daniel was able to do what no other person could do. The truth was that Daniel’s only advantage was his relationship with God. Other wise men of his day worshipped Babylonian gods made of wood, stone, and metal. But Daniel worshipped the living God who was happy to reveal mysteries to those who sought Him. Unfortunately, although the king recognized unusual abilities in Daniel, and although he respected Daniel, he chose not to seek out the living God. Too often those in the world look on with intrigue at answered prayers, miraculous events, unnatural courage, and power that are commonly seen among Christians, but they are unwilling to seek Christ. All that God does is designed to draw people to Himself. He does not perform miracles for entertainment, but for the chance of redeeming lost souls and strengthening His people. Seek to live an unexplainable life so that others will seek the Christ in you who makes it possible. |

THANK YOU! It is no secret that the impact BMI is having around the world is due to the many people who are praying for us and who contribute each month to our support. This coming year will be the 20th Anniversary of Experiencing God. No one could ever have guessed what God intended to do through this resource. We are a small ministry with a big message and we are so grateful to be able to take it to presidents of countries as well as orphanages, schools, churches, companies, universities, and much more. We are excited what God has in store in 2010. |
